The Heart Behind the Sanctuary
Meet Tatyana
The heart behind The Book Sanctuary.
Books have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. What began as a place to escape, reflect, and find comfort eventually became something more — a way to connect, heal, and create meaningful conversations with others.

A Little About Me
Connection has always been at the heart of my work.

Books have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. When I was younger and going through a difficult time, books were my escape. Harry Potter, City of Bones — stories that gave me a world to step into when my own felt too heavy. I didn't have the language for what I was experiencing then, but I had pages to disappear into.
As I grew older and was able to gain confidence through therapy, through community, through my own healing, my love of books only deepened. I started joining book clubs, then organizing them, because I discovered something powerful happens when people read the same story and then sit together to talk about it. Something opens up.
When I became a licensed therapist, books took on a new dimension entirely. I began recommending titles like The Body Keeps the Score, All About Love, and What My Bones Know to clients — books that name what so many of us carry but struggle to articulate. I watched people read them and come into sessions with something cracked open, ready to go deeper than they'd gone before.
“These books aren't meant to be read alone.”
They ask something of us. They surface things. They can be tender, disorienting, and profoundly transformative — and that experience is so much richer, and so much safer, when it's held in community.
The Book Sanctuary was born from that belief. It's not therapy. But it is a space where women and non-binary individuals can read intentionally, feel witnessed, and grow together — one chapter at a time.
Read. Reflect. Connect. Breathe.

Why The Book Sanctuary
An invitation to make room for yourself.
Life moves quickly. Between work, family, responsibilities, and everything competing for our attention, it can become difficult to make room for ourselves.
The Book Sanctuary is an invitation to make that room.
Here, reading isn't about racing through another book or checking something off a list. It's about slowing down enough to sit with what a story brings up, sharing perspectives, discovering something new, and connecting with a community of readers who value meaningful conversation.
My hope is that this becomes a space you look forward to returning to. A place to read, reflect, connect, and simply breathe.
What I Believe
The Book Sanctuary is being built around a few simple ideas.
- 01
Read Slowly
“Books don't have to become another thing to rush through.”
- 02
Reflect Deeply
“The best stories often stay with us long after the final page.”
- 03
Connect Authentically
“Reading becomes richer when we're able to share what it awakened in us.”
- 04
Make Room for Yourself
“Sometimes opening a book is also an invitation to pause.”
Beyond the Books
The experience I bring into the Sanctuary.
Before The Book Sanctuary, much of my professional work centered around helping people create space for reflection, connection, growth, and meaningful change. That experience continues to influence the kind of community I hope to cultivate here.
